This show is based on the year 1984, it’s about 5 kids who live in Hawkins. One of them Will Byers starts having visions of another dimension and they call it the (upside down). Eleven is another one of those kids, she is inside an underground laboratory that’s owned by the government. She has powers and the government is trying to use her to spy on Russians. She ends up going to the upside down while trying to communicate with the Russians and opens the dimension and the Monster that’s in it gets out and so does Eleven. The monster then starts eating people and everyone he eats goes to the upside down where they gotta try to find a way out or they die. 
The five main characters are:
Eleven
Mike
Dustin
Will
Lucas
These characters are the ones that save the town from the horrible thing that’s coming for them. Will is eaten by the monster and then the other are looking for him. While looking for him they find Eleven, which they find out she has powers and is able to go to the upside down. I think is cool how they were really nice to her even though she is different from them and a complete stranger. They help her find a safe place to stay and she helps them find their friend. At then end they end up closing the upside down and everyone is safe after or are they? 
There’s a new season coming it’s the third one and I wanna know what’s gonna happen this season. Season one and two were really good and I wanna know what’s new this season and I wanna see how the characters have grown and because I wanna see Eleven use her powers.
